About Gina Bowen, M.Ed
Certified Health and Life Coach

I was shaped—and fueled—by two defining moments in my life. As a teenager, I lost my dad to colon cancer. Shortly after, my own health began to decline, and after a long year and a half of unanswered questions and suffering, I was diagnosed with Lupus.
Through those experiences, I discovered the power of resilience, emotional regulation, and intentional action—tools that not only helped me reclaim my health but also defined my life’s purpose. My passion for growth and human potential led me to earn a BA in Child and Human Development and a Master’s in Education and Child Life in Hospitals, blending my personal journey with a professional foundation to empower both women and children.
At the heart of my work is a simple truth: mindset shapes everything. My gift is helping others cultivate a growth and wellness mindset so they can simplify healthy living, reclaim their energy, and connect deeply with themselves. I focus on what I call the **Core4 essentials—nutrition, movement, sleep, and resilience—**and provide the accountability, compassion, and structure needed to turn those into sustainable daily practices.
During COVID, I witnessed firsthand how isolation and the lack of social-emotional tools impacted kids, including my own. That experience inspired me to co-create Empowered Kids, a school-based program teaching growth mindset, emotional resilience, and self-advocacy. Now in its third year, it has reached more than 1,000 students, giving them the tools to believe in themselves and thrive.
Today, I devote much of my work to women over 40—resilient, self-giving women who have poured themselves into caring for others while quietly losing touch with their own needs, identity, and joy. Many are navigating changing seasons of life—shifting roles, career transitions, physical changes, or questions of purpose. I help these women come home to themselves—reconnecting with their strength, courage, and peace so they can embrace this next chapter with confidence, clarity, and vitality.
Through my coaching practice, The Moxy Life, women can choose the level of support that fits best for them—whether that’s private 1:1 coaching for a personalized, high-touch approach, or the Moxy Life App, which offers habit tracking, workouts, recipes, community, and direct coach support at an accessible entry point. Together, these options give women the flexibility to step into Moxy in the way that best serves their season of life, knowing they’re supported every step of the way.
Alongside this, I co-own Moxy Strong—a health and fitness community where women come as they are and feel empowered through movement that supports their age and stage of life. Moxy Strong blends functional fitness, strength, and agility with nutrition guidance, healthy recipes, mindset coaching, and accountability—creating a whole-woman approach to thriving.
My role—whether with women or children—is to hold space where healing, growth, and transformation can take root. Together, we simplify health and life into what truly matters and build habits and mindsets that last a lifetime.
